KGL supported NLA Good Causes Foundation with GHS 6 million, discredit the negative report from the Fourth Estate
KGL Group has contributed a total of GHS 6 million to the National Lottery Authority’s (NLA) Good Causes Foundation, the social corporate responsibility initiative of NLA between 2022 and 2024, reaffirming its commitment to supporting national development initiatives.
The NLA, during the official launch of the KGL Foundation, also made a GHS 200,000 donation to the foundation.
Officials clarified that the fundraising event at the launch was open to all stakeholders, and contributions came voluntarily from a wide range of individuals and organisations present.
Stakeholders stressed that the donation from the NLA was made in good faith and in the spirit of partnership, noting that KGL’s far greater contributions to the NLA Good Causes Foundation far outweigh the amount received during the launch event.
“KGL has supported the NLA Good Causes Foundation with six million cedis.
What is the need for unnecessary noise about a GHS 200,000 donation that was made willingly at the foundation’s launch?” a source close to the NLA has said.
The NLA Good Causes Foundation continues to channel funds from the lottery sector into projects in health, education, youth empowerment, and arts and culture, while the KGL Foundation also focuses on corporate social responsibility initiatives that impact communities nationwide.
KGL has been out supporting Colts football to groom the youth in football to unearth talents, and for business.
