Ken Agyapong inspects site for Volta factory construction

Mr. Ken Ohene Agyapong, a failed flagbearer hopeful on the ticket of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken a significant step toward fulfilling his campaign promise to the people of the Volta Region by inspecting land at Adidome and Adaklu for the immediate commencement of the Volta factory project.
The factory, which was pledged during the 2023 NPP presidential primaries campaign, aims to boost economic activities in the region and address Ghana’s rising youth unemployment.
Speaking during the inspection, Agyapong reaffirmed his commitment to job creation, stating that the factory will be one of many initiatives designed to equip the youth with sustainable employment opportunities.
The Volta Factory project is part of a broader industrialization agenda that seeks to establish manufacturing hubs across the country.
According to project stakeholders, preparations are at an advanced stage to ensure smooth implementation.
Residents and local leaders have welcomed the move, expressing optimism about the factory’s potential to transform the regional economy and provide much-needed job opportunities.
As construction is set to begin in the coming weeks, stakeholders are hopeful that the project will materialize swiftly, bringing long-term benefits to the Volta Region and beyond.
