The Land Division of the High Court in Accra has granted an interim injunction in favour of Labadi Beach Hotel, preventing Spartan Ives Limited, operators of Polo Beach Club, from encroaching on its property.

The injunction, arises from legal proceedings initiated by Hotel Investments (Ghana) Limited, the owners of Labadi Beach Hotel, to reclaim a 0.54-acre parcel of land.

The court’s directive prohibits Spartan Ives Limited and its affiliates from:

Trespassing on the hotel’s property, including its use as a car park, pathway, or venue for events.

Operating the Polo Beach Club or organising activities on the restricted areas of the hotel’s land.

Using the beachfront adjacent to the hotel’s property, contrary to a lease agreement dated 27 November 1990.

The injunction, valid for 10 days, warns that failure to comply may result in contempt of court proceedings.

In an affidavit submitted to the court, Labadi Beach Hotel’s management, led by General Manager David Eduaful, reaffirmed the importance of protecting the hotel’s property to maintain its standing as Ghana’s premier 5-star beach resort.

“This legal action underscores our commitment to safeguarding our assets and ensuring a serene and secure environment for our guests,” the affidavit stated.
