Aggrieved customers of Menzgold have renewed their appeal to President John Dramani Mahama to fulfil what they describe as his pre-election promise to support them in recovering their locked-up investments.

The customers warned that unless urgent action is taken, more victims could die from frustration over their inability to access their funds.

Their renewed call comes as the Chief Executive Officer of the defunct gold dealership, Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM1), commenced his cross-examination after completing his evidence-in-chief before the court.

Speaking to the media after proceedings, Convener of the aggrieved customers, Frederick Forson, said the group has given the government a 21-day ultimatum to account for what they claim is GH¢5.4 million left behind by the previous administration.

Mr Forson urged the government to take steps to help customers recover their investments, insisting that many affected individuals continue to face severe hardship as the case remains before the court.
