Talent Microfinance donates items worth ¢30k to Ho cured lepers village, New Horizon School for the Blind

Talent Microfinance Limited has donated items valued at GHS 30,000 to the New Horizon School for the Blind and the Cured Lepers Village in the Ho Municipality of the Volta Region.
The donation forms part of the Microfinance’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.
During the donation ceremony, CEO Alex Copson underscored the company’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities.
“We as a company have decided to donate to the Cured Lepers Village and the New Horizon School for the Blind, and this is done annually alongside other needy institutions in our areas of operation.
“This year, we decided to donate these items as our modest contribution to support them,” he stated.
Mr. Copson highlighted the importance of the donation, saying: “We donated these items to help them in their daily activities in running the facility. We pray that in the coming years, we can do more donations to support this hospital.”
He called on society to end the stigmatisation of these communities, emphasising their integral role. “Society must embrace and always give a helping hand to the needy,” he advised.
Miss Elizabeth Sam, the Head of Marketing and Branch Manageress for the Ho branch, encouraged the management of both facilities to continue their essential work in caring for the individuals under their supervision and ensuring their safety.
Mr. Eric Ofori, Director of the New Horizon School for the Blind, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the donation, noting its vital role in meeting the facility's needs.
“We are particularly happy for these items because we’ve been in dire need of them,” he said, urging other institutions to follow Talent Microfinance's example.
He also appealed to social groups, churches, and individuals for further support.
The donated items included essential supplies such as washing powder, soap, diapers, detergent, toilet rolls, rice, sugar, and various food items, all intended to enhance the living conditions for residents at both facilities.
