Total Ghana launches the Mckingtorch footwear pop-up shop

Total Ghana, in collaboration with Mckingtorch Africa, has launched the Mckingtorch Footwear Pop-up Shop at the Accra Liberation Road Total Service Station.
The footwear were displayed in the 100% solar-powered Total Sunshine Kiosk.
The Managing Director of Total Ghana, Mr Eric Fanchini launched the footwear.
The Mckingtorch Africa initiative is a startup project that focuses on recycling plastic waste into sustainable footwear.
By sponsoring its development, Total said it strives to reduce plastic waste in the country while encouraging job creation among the youth.
HDPE and LDPE plastic waste are recovered from the streets, offices, homes, and community buy-back programmes to serve as raw material for the sandals, which are made in Ghana.
