Ghana Bloggers Association mourns tragic military helicopter crash in Ashanti Region

In a heartfelt statement, the Ghana Bloggers Association expressed profound sorrow over the military helicopter crash in the Adansi area of the Ashanti Region, which claimed the lives of eight distinguished individuals, including top government and military officials.
The Association offered its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased, the Government of Ghana, and the entire nation, calling the event a “devastating loss.”
It paid solemn tribute to the victims for their devoted service to the country.
Among those who perished were:
Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, Minister of Defence
Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Minister of Environment, Science, and Technology
Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator
Samuel Sarpong, Vice Chairman of the NDC and former Regional Minister (Ashanti and Central)
Samuel Aboagye, former Parliamentary Candidate
Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala
Flying Officer Amaning Twum Ampadu
Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah
Amidst national grief, the Association issued a call for restraint and sensitivity in media coverage.
Andre Mustapha Nii Okai Inusah (Attractive Mustapha), President of the Ghana Bloggers Association, urged bloggers, journalists, and digital content creators to avoid sharing graphic content that could heighten the anguish of loved ones.
He emphasised:
“In these trying times, let us choose respect over sensationalism, truth over speculation, and compassion over clicks.”
The Ghana Bloggers Association closed its statement by honouring the memory of the fallen and praying for their souls to rest in perfect peace.
