Ghanaian musicians don’t appreciate DJs – Empress 1

Gospel Singer Empress Gifty Adorye popularly known as Empress 1 has bemoaned the lack of appreciation shown to Ghanaian Disc Jockeys by musicians.
She said DJs work tirelessly to promote musicians’ songs but the presenters get all the praises and money leaving the DJs dry.
The ‘Aseda’ hitmaker suggested that it is high time musicians started paying attention to DJs and appreciate their efforts.
Speaking in an interview with Dr. Cann on Happy FM, Empress 1 said: ‘’DJs do all the work but yet they are not given their due. The best they get is a mention by a presenter and that is all. There are radio presenters who do not know jack about playing music but they get all the appreciation. It should change’’.
