Businessman and Afrobeats superstar Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, professionally called Mr Eazi, has doubled down on investing in Rwanda.

In a recent visit to the East African country, the Nigerian singer-songwriter was spotted at the courtside for the NBA Basketball Africa League (BAL) finals between Al Ahly Ly 107-94 and winner Petro De Luanda, noting some of the finest talents the continent had to offer in the said discipline.

Apart from the showdown, Mr Eazi engaged with various Rwandese companies exploring mutual opportunities and benefits available via his Choplife Gaming.

Emphasising his intentions, he also met with the Ministry of Sports, discussing potential partnerships for sports development and youth empowerment with Minister Aurore Munyangaju.

Mr Eazi paid a visit to Choplife Gaming’s biggest partners in the Paul Kagame-led country of an estimated 14 million people, also: MTN Momo and Airtel Money, strengthening ties.

Mr Eazi’s Choplife Foundation also came up when the serial hitmaker engaged with the education sector to discuss opportunities for potential collaborations, highlighting his commitment to providing varied support for deserving students in the region.

After seven years of investing in the sports betting industry via a brand ambassadorial deal with betPawa, Choplife Gaming is Mr Eazi’s wholly-owned betting company.

In 2023, it was widely reported Mr Eazi had made a real estate investment in Rwanda, worth an estimated US$10 million.

The 32-year-old is on a mission to make a case for African business acumen and creativity.
