Mzbel has come to the defence of her first child and son, Nana Kwame Adepa, alias Okomfo Black, stating plainly that they both do not believe "in the existence an Almighty God".

In an interview which has gone viral on social media, Nana Kwame Adepa expressed such belief.

The 10-year-old said he is "traditional" in his faith and pours libation to commune with "our ancestors". He said he owed his existence to his mother and not God, citing science as support.

Social media was fractioned by the boy's utterances. While some celebrated his boldness and eloquence, others jeered, opining he was brainwashed and out of his depth.

Wincing, Adepa said in the interview: "I believe, through science, human beings were born, not created."

Questioning orthodox religious doctrine, he argued: "I never got to see God. The only person who cares for me is my mother."

He said sin, atonement, and eternal rewards such as hell do "not make sense even if you keep on thinking about it a million times".

If Jesus was indeed Almighty God, as the faith he denounced, Christianity, says, he would not have allowed sin into the world in the first place, necessitating his sacrificial death, unless "he [was] setting up a trap for human beings to sin," Okomfo Black challenged.

Human beings "created sin on our own," he went on, arguing the phenomenon, which, he stated, God cannot partake in, is proof "we're more powerful than him [God]".

On her verified Instagram Story, Nana Kwame Adepa's mother, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, professionally called Mzbel, offered an explanation for their religious stance.

She posited that God is not a person apart from the physical world but rather is a thing possessed by "everything and anything that has life".

Libation, the pouring of various liquids, including alcohol, as a form of prayer, she said, is in acknowledgment of all life forms, "energies," as she preferred to call them, combined as God.

The ancestors, though dead, live on "through us" via shared "blood and spirit," the mother of two added, indicating they are worthy of libation also.

According to the 16 years hitmaker, this knowledge, though unpopular and startling, is the truth a person shall find when they "spend time... in quietness, ask questions, and patiently wait for... answers from within".

“YES! We don't believe in the existence of an Almighty God, because we know that everything or anything that has life no matter how big or small is a God, that is why when we pour libation (Pray) we acknowledge and honour all those energies (God). Our ancestors are dead but their blood and spirit runs through us, we are their DNA so we honour them too.

“We are all God’s… spend time with yourself in quietness, ask questions, and patiently wait for the answers from within u! You will be amazed,” the 43-year-old wrote, evidenced below.

In another IG post, Thursday, November 2, 2023, Mzbel indicated that since her son's disclosure, his mates have been instructed by their parents to avoid him. She clarified they are both not bothered at all but rather quiet pleased with the reaction.

"I am not complaining that parents are advising their children to stay away from my son... [laugh and cry emojis] Infact, we are happy," she said with the picture below.

As a caption, she also said that religious beliefs are a matter of "choices," cautioning: "Share your anger, insults and disappointments on your own pages or I will start blocking..."
