Stonebwoy challenges Diasporans to make 'intellectual', 'financial' investments in Africa
Ghanaian singer-songwriter and businessman Stonebwoy has sounded a rallying cry for all Black people around the world to come make investments in the continent.
He said this talking to Ebro and his New York City-based Hot 97 team.
"I'll urge travellers to always make Ghana a December destination," he said calling attention to his home country which bears the nickname 'The Gateway to Africa'.
"Definitely, there's a lot to know, there's a lot to learn," he added, stressing that, also, "There's a lot to bring [to Africa]."
The Reggae/Dancehall superstar asked Diasporans to bring to Africa things such as ideas, "because it [problem solving and productive ideas] doesn't lie in one man's head."
He stressed on cooperation between Africans in Africa and Africans in the diaspora.
"I'm just asking the Diaspora to make sure they are also trying to invest their intellect and sometimes finances as well in the Motherland," he said.
The multiple award-winning music act asked his audience to imagine what could be done "with a US$500,000" budget allocation for a project in Ghana, West Africa, for instance.
"You could... I could... We could do business... We could create employment," he indicated.
Rally all Africans to get their hands on deck, he emphasised that: "It doesn't only depend on the indigenes of Ghana or Africa to build Africa, but Africans all over the world have to take on that as priority first and foremost."
From the United States (US), Livingstone Satekla, alias Stonebwoy, at publication time, is in London, United Kingdom (UK), on a promotional tour for the April 28, 2023 release of his fifth studio album titled '5th Dimension'.
So far this year, he has gifted fans with two Afrobeats hits 'Therapy' and 'More of You'.
