2 feared dead, 28 rescued in Kwashieman crash
Two people are feared dead while 28 others have been rescued following a road accident at Kwashieman in Accra on the eve of Good Friday.
The crash occurred around 4:30 AM when a church bus travelling from Takoradi collided with a truck transporting onions and yams to the Gomoa Dominase onion market.
Reports indicate the bus was branching toward Sowutuom when the truck, said to be speeding despite warning horns, crashed into it.
A National Ambulance Service team from Ablekuma North responded to the scene and transported 20 victims to the Weija Gbawe Municipal Hospital, while eight others were taken to the Ablekuma North Polyclinic.
Residents have commended the ambulance crew for their swift and professional response.
