Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III: Asanteman Youth Association mourns 'pillar of wisdom'
The Asanteman Youth Association (AYA) has expressed "profound sadness" over the passing of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Asantehemaa of the Asante Kingdom.
"On behalf of the entire youth of Asante and Asanteman, we extend our deepest condolences to His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu Il, the Oyoko Clan, and the people of Asanteman during this time of great sorrow," an August 12 statement by AYA noted.
AYA eulogised the Asantehemaa as "more than a mother to the Asante Kingdom - she was a pillar of wisdom, dignity, and unity whose life embodied the timeless values of our heritage".
"Her leadership and nurturing spirit will remain a guiding light for generations to come," the association emphasised.
AYA noted they stood "firmly behind His Royal Majesty Otumfuo and assures him of our unwavering support".
"The youth of Asanteman will continue to uphold the values, unity, and cultural pride that the Asantehemaa so gracefully championed," AYA solemnly promised.
"May the Almighty grant her peaceful rest and strengthen the Oyoko Clan and the entire Asante nation in this difficult time," the association prayed. "Rest well, Nana Konadu Yiadom III."
