GA/R: closed fishing season starts today
The Deputy Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Mr Moses Anim has met the Acting Chief of Tema Nii Adjetey Agbo and his entourage in the Greater Accra Region to officially inform them of this year's Closed Fishing Season to commence on 1st to the 31st July and 1st to 31st August 2022 for Artisanal fishers and Industrial Trawlers respectively.
The meeting to announce the closed fishing date was held on Thursday, June 31, 2022
Mr. Moses Anim on behalf of the Ministry presented some items and an amount of money to the acting Chief and his people.
The symbolic closure of the sea will take place at Tema Canoe Basin
