Ga East Assembly begins installation of new streetlights

The Ga East Municipal Assembly (GEMA)in the Greater Accra Region has begun installing new streetlights along key roads in the municipality as part of efforts to improve visibility and enhance security.
The exercise, which commenced on Tuesday, 23rd September 2025, started from the Musukoo Roundabout through the Kwabenya-Atomic Market stretch to the Atomic Roundabout.
Officials say the project will be extended to other parts of the municipality in the coming days.
According to the Assembly, the initiative aligns with the government’s broader programme to boost safety in communities across the country by ensuring well-lit streets in public spaces.
