Ghana’s High Commissioner to UK pays courtesy call on Ambassador to US in Washington
The High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana to the United Kingdom and Ireland, Sabah Zita Benson, has paid a friendly visit to Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States of America, Victor Emmanuel Smith, at his office in Washington, D.C.
The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to exchange ideas and share perspectives on how best to improve the welfare of Ghanaians living in the diaspora.
Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration between Ghana’s missions abroad to enhance consular services, promote economic opportunities and deepen engagement with Ghanaian communities in their respective jurisdictions.
Her Excellency Benson underscored the importance of coordinated diplomatic efforts in advancing Ghana’s interests and ensuring that citizens abroad receive the necessary support and representation.
Also present at the meeting was the Deputy Ambassador to the United States, Mrs. Jane Gasu Aheto, who joined in the discussions aimed at fostering closer cooperation between the two missions.
The meeting concluded on a cordial note, with both sides expressing optimism about future collaboration and the possibility of a reciprocal visit as part of sustained engagement between Ghana’s diplomatic missions in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States.
