The Pilgrim Affairs  Office of Ghana (PAOG) has officially launched the medical screening and certification process for prospective pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj.

To streamline operations and enhance nationwide coordination, the PAOG has decentralised the exercise, which is scheduled to take place from February 6 to March 4, 2026.

The screening exercise will span several regions, including the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Northern, Upper West, and Upper East regions.

Screenings will be conducted at approved health facilities and designated centres such as the Hajj Village in Accra, the Kumasi Central Mosque Conference Room, and various regional hospitals.

Prospective pilgrims are advised to stay in close contact with their specific Hajj agents to confirm their assigned dates and venues.

This new arrangement was contained in a statement released on Monday, February 2, 2026
