VVIP Lounge at Accra International Airport temporarily closed for renovation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the temporary closure of the VVIP Lounge at the Accra International Airport to allow for scheduled renovation works aimed at improving the facility.
According to a public announcement issued by the Ministry, the closure took effect on Friday, April 3, 2026, and is expected to last until Friday, April 10, 2026.
The renovation exercise is part of ongoing efforts to upgrade key national infrastructure and enhance the safety, comfort, and overall functionality of facilities used by high-level dignitaries and official guests.
The Ministry assured stakeholders that the temporary closure is necessary to ensure the delivery of efficient and high-quality services, adding that the upgraded lounge will better meet the needs of users upon completion.
Accredited stakeholders and users of the facility are expected to make alternative arrangements during the renovation period.
