Vice President extends greetings to Oguaa traditional area ahead of Fetu festival

The Office of the Vice President, represented by the Policy Advisor on Political Affairs, Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, has conveyed warm greetings from Her Excellency Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang to the Paramount Chief of Oguaa, Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, and the people of the Oguaa Traditional Area in the Central Region.

As part of the goodwill gesture, Dr. Ofosu Ampofo presented an undisclosed sum of money, assorted beverages, water, and other items to support the ongoing celebrations of the annual Fetu Afahye Festival.

The festival, one of Ghana’s most vibrant cultural events, is expected to climax with the Grand Durbar of Chiefs on Saturday, 7th September 2025, at Cape Coast.

The durbar will showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Oguaa people and attract dignitaries, tourists, and citizens from across the country.

 

The Vice President, through Dr. Ofosu Ampofo, reaffirmed her commitment to promoting Ghana’s cultural values and fostering unity through traditional celebrations such as the Fetu Festival.
