The Judicial Service on Saturday, July 18, held a commemorative float through parts of Accra before engaging traders at Makola Market in a public legal education programme as part of activities marking the 150th anniversary of the Supreme Court.

The outreach educated traders on issues relating to marital property and child custody, with the aim of increasing public awareness of family law and helping them understand their legal rights and responsibilities.

The float and outreach formed part of activities commemorating 150 years of the Supreme Court's administration of justice in Ghana.

The Chairperson of the Supreme Court @150 Planning Committee, Justice Richard Adjei Frimpong, said the float was organised to create public awareness of the anniversary and encourage physical activity among judges, who spend long hours in court.

President of the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) Samuel Afotey Otu also addressed participants during the float and reaffirmed the Judicial Service's commitment to justice delivery.
