The minister-designate of lands and natural resources, Mr Samuel Abu Jinapor, has handed over a mechanised water system to the people of Busunu in the Damongo Constituency of the Savanna Region.

Speaking at a ceremony to that effect, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Damongo constituency called on the people of Busunu to embrace and pool interest in the development of the area.

The water system consists of a borehole, a motorised pump, an overhead tank and two points with spouts where water is fetched for consumption.

"Busunu is a homogeneous community that will rapidly develop in the coming years, but only on the wings of unity. Get back to your brotherly ways, the harmonious life you were living before the campaign time. Forget of the unprinted words you shared during the electioneering time and regroup for development devoid of party politics," he stated.

The MP also reiterated his commitment to providing social amenities that will raise the standard of living of people in the community through the provision of potable water, the building of an SHS and polyclinic, creation of employment for the teeming youth among others.

"My colleague youth, please continue to pursue educational success. I don't enjoy your unemployment situation. We're working around the clock to finding a solution. Hopefully, it shall be well." he added.

Mr Philip Kelly, a native of Busunu, who spoke on behalf of the area where the water system is situated, thanked the lawmaker for delivering his promises.

He advised the MP not to be disorientated but work for instant results in his constituency.
