CMG appoints Kwasi Kyei Darkwah (KKD) as new CEO
Mr. Kwasi Kyei Darkwah (KKD) has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Class Media Group (CMG), headquartered in Labone, effective Monday, November 4, 2024.
The Board of Directors of the media giant recently finalised KKD’s appointment following extensive discussions with the veteran media personality.
Known as "The Finest," KKD, a cultural and fashion icon who began his broadcasting career at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, was introduced to CMG staff today as their new leader.
Nicknamed "His Royal Blackness," KKD will oversee all regional operations of the Group, which includes Class91.3FM, Accra100.5FM, No.1 (105.3FM), Kumasi104.1 FM, Ho 92.5FM, Adehye FM, Dagbon FM, Sunyani FM, Taadi FM, CTV, and Classfmonline.com.
KKD is a renowned MC whose influence and work extend beyond Ghana.
He previously served as Director of Programmes & Marketing at Sunshine Radio, which later became Choice FM.
In addition to his work in mainstream media, KKD was the Director of Public Communications at the Ghana Investment Promotion Council (GIPC), working under CEO Mr. Robert Ahomka Lindsay from 2007 to 2009.
He has also held roles as General Manager at record company Megastar Limited, Account Manager for Corporate Healthcare at Gissings Consultancy Services in London, and Advertising & Promotions Manager at ABC Brewery Limited.
