Fire ravages 37 army officers’ mess
A fire outbreak at the 37 army officers’ mess ravaged four rooms and destroyed several properties.
The blaze lasted for hours after it started around 9 a.m on Saturday, 18 January 2020.
The fire, according to eyewitnesses, swept through four rooms on the C Block forcing an emergency evacuation of the occupants to avert casualties.
Firefighters battled the inferno and later brought it under control.
It left in its wake burnt furniture and several electronic gadgets and appliances.
