MCE engages with Hairdressers & Tailors Association
In a bid to foster skills development and job opportunities for young people, Nketia Safo, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Krachi East, has met with the leadership of the Hairdressers and Tailors Association.
The meeting focused on the National Apprenticeship Programme recently launched by President John Dramani Mahama as part of his commitment to ensuring inclusive development and skills training to aid job creation.
During the engagement, Mr Safo provided updates on the programme, highlighting its potential benefits for local artisans and young people in the community.
According to him, the initiative was part of the president's campaign promises aimed at enhancing vocational training and creating job opportunities for the youth.
The meeting was well-received by the association's leadership, which expressed appreciation for the government's commitment to supporting local artisans.
Mr Safo's engagement with the association underscores the government's dedication to promoting skills development and empowering young people in the community.
The National Apprenticeship Programme is expected to provide young people with valuable skills and training, enabling them to secure meaningful employment or start their own businesses.
