Mamobi: Police restore calm after NPP, NDC clash
The Ghana Police Service has successfully restored order in Mamobi, a suburb of Accra, following violent clashes between supporters of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The disturbances, which erupted recently, resulted in injuries to nine individuals.
In a statement, the police reported that "seven of the injured victims have been treated and discharged," while "two are still receiving treatment at the hospital."
The police emphasised their commitment to ensuring the safety of residents in the area and preventing any further escalation of violence.
In response to the unrest, law enforcement officials have initiated an intelligence-led operation aimed at apprehending those responsible for the violence.
The police confirmed that the perpetrators have already been identified and are being sought to face justice.
