The Mortuary Workers Association of Ghana (MOWAG) has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic military helicopter crash of August 6, 2025, which claimed the lives of eight prominent Ghanaians, including Defence Minister Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah and Minister of Environment, Science, and Technology Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed.

In a statement signed by its General Secretary, Richard Kofi Jordan, MOWAG extended condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the victims, acknowledging their significant contributions to the nation.

“As mortuary workers, we recognise the sombre nature of our duties in times like these, and extend our professional sympathies,” the Association stated, pledging support for bereaved families during the difficult period.

The Association also emphasised that handling incidents of this nature falls within the scope of their services, reaffirming their commitment to dignity and professionalism.
