One-district-one-road maintenance machine project coming

In a significant move to ensure continuous and sustainable road maintenance across the districts to aid smooth travelling, the government has announced the distribution of a comprehensive set of road maintenance machines to each of the 261 districts.
This initiative dubbed one-district one-maintenance machine is part of the government's commitment to improving infrastructure and bringing convenience to the citizenry, even in the midst of the current economic crisis.
The Director of Communications for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia Campaign 2024, Mr Dennis Miracles Aboagye took to his Facebook wall Friday, July 26, 2024 to make the announcement of the distribution of the heavy equipment.
The heavy equipment currently parked at the Black Star Square also known as the Independence Square in the Greater Accra Region includes:
• Excavators
• Backhoe loaders
• Wheel loaders
• Motor graders
• Skid-steer loaders
• Compact rollers
• Articulated dump trucks
• And other essential equipment
According to Mr Aboagye, this substantial investment in road maintenance equipment aims to facilitate efficient and effective road reshaping and upkeep across the nation.
He said despite the economic challenges facing the country, the government remains dedicated to enhancing infrastructure and improving the quality of life for its people.
