Tema: Pilot concrete road opened to motorists
The much-talked-about concrete road being piloted at Tema in the Greater Accra Region has been opened for the motoring public.
The road is from the Tema heavy-duty industrial area to the Tema branch of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA).
Today, November 18, 2021, motorists were seen busily plying the concrete road.
The pilot concrete road is next to none in the country, except the Accra-Tema motorway, which was constructed over 50 years ago by late president Kwame Nkrumah in the first republican dispensation of the country.
Concrete road technology is considered one of the most durable in the built industry with a long lifespan.
The governing New Patriotic Party, led by Vice-president Mahamudu Bawumia, before assuming power in 2017, promised to construct all major roads in Ghana using concrete technology to prolong their lifespan.
