Mahamas gift Bole District Hospital maternity and children’s ward
Former President John Dramani Mahama and his wife, Lordina, have constructed and gifted the Bole community in the Savanna Region, a 45-bed maternity and children’s ward in the Bole District Hospital.
It was a gesture to mark their 30th marriage anniversary.
The 865sqm Lordina Foundation Maternity and Children’s Ward has 10 baby cots, 5 weighing scales with height measurements, a Kangaroo mother and child care centre, a delivery room with two delivery beds, and a recovery ward.
Mrs Mahama, who was enskinned as the queen mother of the Bole traditional area, said at the donation ceremony that her foundation will continue to support the health care system in the country.
The event was attended by the paramount chief of Bole, Bole Wura Sarfo Kutuge Feso I, and other chiefs, as well as the Bole District Chief Executive, Savanna Regional Director of Health, the Bole District Director of Health, the management and staff of the Bole District Hospital and the Bole Midwifery Training School.
