Alan Kyerematen paints Ashanti yellow with 300,000 supporters in Afafranto Unity Walk

Thousands of people, including youth and women groups joined independent presidential aspirant Alan Kyerematen’s Movement for Change in a walk dubbed Afrafranto in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
The marchers were estimated to be about 300,000.
Mr Kyerematen, who left the governing New Patriotic Party to form the Movement for Change (MFC), led the Afafranto Unity Walk.
Prominent figures like Sister Afia, Twene Jonas, and Oliver Khan 'the ship dealer', were among the faces seen among the marchers.
Their involvement has not only bolstered the visibility of the movement but also signalled a shift in support towards Alan Kyerematen's cause.
Having served in Ghana's Trade and Industry Ministry for over a decade under two different administrations, Mr Kyerematen's decision to break away from the NPP was seen as a watershed moment in Ghana's political landscape.
Mr Kyerematen and his movement have already held several similar events in different parts of the country.
The colour yellow has been a defining identifier of the Movement.
