Attorney-General vows to enforce Code of Conduct, pursue sanctions against corrupt officials

The Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, has reiterated his commitment to upholding the integrity of public office by strictly enforcing the newly launched Code of Conduct for public officials.
Speaking on the sidelines of the launch, Dr. Ayine stressed the need for greater accountability within the public sector, noting that adherence to ethical standards is crucial for good governance and public trust.
"The Code of Conduct is not just a guide—it is a legal and moral obligation.
We will ensure it is enforced to the letter," he stated.
Dr. Ayine further pledged to take decisive legal action, including pursuing criminal sanctions, against any public official found to have violated the law.
“No one is above the law.
Where breaches occur, and the evidence warrants it, we will not hesitate to initiate criminal proceedings,” he added.
