C/R: Kasoa MCE announces borehole project to address water shortages

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kasoa Municipal Assembly in the Central Region, Mr Seth Sewornoo-Banini, has revealed plans to construct at least 10 boreholes across Awutu Senya East to ease water challenges confronting residents.
He made the disclosure during his appearance before the Public Accounts Committee, where he was questioned about measures being implemented to address the municipality’s water crisis.
According to Mr. Banini, the boreholes will be strategically sited in communities facing acute water shortages, particularly in cut-off areas of the municipality.
Beyond the borehole initiative, the MCE noted that the Assembly is also collaborating with the Ghana Water Company to expand existing water pipelines and replace outdated boosters to enhance water distribution across Kasoa and its surrounding areas.
These interventions, he explained, are aimed at providing immediate relief to households struggling with water scarcity while ensuring sustainable access to safe drinking water in the long term.
