Dec 7, polls: Asiedu -Nketia announces one lawyer per a constituency policy
The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has assured party members and delegates of the NDC’s commitment to safeguarding its victory in the December 7 general elections.
Speaking to supporters at Adoato in the Bantama Constituency of the Ashanti Region, Mr. Asiedu Nketia urged polling agents to remain vigilant and fearless during the elections.
He announced that the party would deploy lawyers to every constituency to provide legal support and protect polling agents in case of any challenges.
He highlighted a significant shift in the political atmosphere, noting that the NDC can now campaign openly in areas like Bantama, which were once considered hostile to the party."If the NDC can campaign here today without attacks, it shows the table has turned," he remarked.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia called on the people of Bantama to vote for change, emphasizing that such a decision would bring much-needed development to the area.
He also criticized the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) for failing to deliver on its "One-District-One-Factory" promise, citing the inability to revive the defunct Neoplan Ghana Limited.
He further pledged that an NDC government would restore the collapsed Metro Mass Transit Company to create jobs for the youth and ensure sustainable development.
The National Chairman concluded by encouraging party members to stay united and work towards achieving victory in the upcoming elections.
