FT Global Investment delegation call on Deputy Defence Minister over GAF housing project
A delegation from FT Global Investment Limited, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Dr Baba Issah, has paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Minister for Defence, Mr Ernest Brogya Genfi, at The Square in Accra, as part of engagements surrounding a major housing initiative for the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).
The delegation was received on behalf of the Deputy Defence Minister by the Acting Judge Advocate General of the Ghana Armed Forces, Brigadier General Benjamin Amoah-Boakye, together with directors from the Ministry of Defence.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the planned construction of 10,000 housing units for personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces, a project being undertaken by FT Global Investment Limited in partnership with the Defence Industries Holding Company Limited (DIHOC).
The housing project forms part of government efforts to improve the welfare and living conditions of military personnel. President John Dramani Mahama officially launched the initiative in 2025 when he performed a groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of the project, involving the construction of 2,000 housing units.
The ceremony took place during the West African Soldiers’ Social Activities (WASSA).
The joint venture is expected to significantly address accommodation challenges within the Armed Forces while contributing to broader national housing goals.
Officials from the Ministry of Defence reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting the project to ensure its successful implementation for the benefit of military personnel and their families.
