Former President Kufuor visits President Mahama to offer condolences
Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has paid a visit to President John Dramani Mahama, First Lady Lordina Mahama, and Vice President Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang to express his condolences and support during this period of national mourning.
The visit comes in the wake of the tragic August 6, 2025, military helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight prominent Ghanaians, including Defence Minister Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah and Minister of Environment, Science, and Technology Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed. as well as six others
Mr. Kufuor conveyed his sympathies to the President, the Vice President, and the entire government, describing the tragedy as a painful loss to the nation.
He also expressed solidarity with the families of all the victims and urged Ghanaians to remain united in grief and resolve.
The visit is seen as a demonstration of national unity in the face of the disaster, which has drawn condolences from across the political spectrum.
