Jospong Group pays tribute to national servants
The Jospong Group of Companies has joined the nation in mourning the eight distinguished Ghanaians who tragically lost their lives in a military helicopter crash on 6 August 2025.
The victims included Cabinet ministers, senior public officials, and military officers.
In an official statement issued by Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Executive Chairman of the Group, the company described the incident as a “heartbreaking loss to families, government, and the nation.”
Among those who perished in the crash were:
Hon. Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah – Minister for Defence
Hon. Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed – Minister for Environment
Hon. Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna – Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator
Hon. Samuel Sarpong – Former Ashanti Regional Minister and NDC Vice Chairman
Mr. Samuel Aboagye – Former Parliamentary Candidate
Squadron Leader Peter Baferni Anala – Ghana Air Force
Flying Officer Manaen (Amaning) Twum Ampadu – Ghana Air Force
Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah – Ghana Armed Forces
“Ghana has lost true patriots—public servants and defenders of our sovereignty who acted with distinction,” the statement read.
On behalf of the Jospong Group, Dr. Agyepong extended deepest condolences to the bereaved families, affirming the company’s solidarity with the government and people of Ghana during this period of national mourning.
“May their souls find perfect peace,” he added in a spiritual tribute.
