Leading the NDC Caucus in Parliament has been an honour – Ato Forson
Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, the immediate past Majority Leader and current Minister of Finance, has described his time leading the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Caucus in Parliament as an honour and a privilege.
Speaking during his final address as Majority Leader on Thursday, January 23, Dr Forson expressed gratitude to his colleagues and the party for entrusting him with the significant responsibility.
Reflecting on his tenure, Dr Forson highlighted the collaborative efforts of the NDC Caucus in advancing the interests of Ghanaians.
He commended his colleagues for their dedication and resilience in navigating the complexities of parliamentary leadership. "Serving as the Majority Leader has been one of the greatest honours of my career," he remarked.
Dr Forson also used the occasion to pledge his commitment to his new role as Minister of Finance, assuring Ghanaians that their aspirations would remain central to his work.
“In my capacity as Minister of Finance, I pledge to work tirelessly for the people of Ghana, ensuring that the needs and aspirations of the people of Ghana remain at the forefront of our agenda,” he stated.
He concluded by expressing optimism about Ghana's future, emphasising the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving national development.
Dr Forson called on his colleagues in Parliament to continue prioritising the interests of the people as they work to build a prosperous and inclusive Ghana
