Mahama delivering on promises – Asiedu Nketia tells NDC supporters

National Chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has assured party supporters that President John Dramani Mahama is making significant progress in delivering on his campaign promises.
Addressing party faithful during his Thank-You Tour in New Juaben North, Asokore, the NDC Chairman highlighted a number of policies and initiatives as evidence of the government’s commitment to its electoral pledges.
Among the key measures he mentioned were the removal of the controversial E-levy and betting tax, which he said reflected the government’s responsiveness to public concerns and its shift towards fairer economic policies.
He also pointed to the commencement of the National Apprenticeship Programme, designed to equip young people with practical skills to enhance job creation, and the launch of the “Big Push” agenda, which seeks to boost infrastructure development and stimulate economic growth.
Other interventions cited included the uncapping of the District Assembly Common Fund to strengthen local governance and accelerate community development.
He further referenced the “Nkoko Nketenkete Programme,” though details of the initiative were not fully outlined in his address.
“These are not mere pronouncements; these are concrete actions demonstrating our resolve to deliver on what we promised the good people of Ghana,” Mr Asiedu Nketia affirmed.
He urged party members to remain united and steadfast, stressing that the government’s success would directly benefit NDC supporters and Ghanaians at large.
The event also saw Nana Appiah Boamah I, Krontihene of Koforidua Asokore, lend his support with remarks encouraging collaboration for community and national development.
The NDC Chairman’s comments come as the party works to consolidate its support base and build public confidence, positioning these early policy actions as signs of future gains under Mahama’s leadership.
