The leadership of the Movement for Change is set to officially announce the formation of a new political party at a public event scheduled for Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra.

According to an invitation extended to media houses, the event will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will feature the unveiling of the party’s name and symbol, marking a major step in the Movement’s transition into a fully-fledged political organisation.

Media institutions have been invited to cover the ceremony, with slots reserved for an editor, presenter, reporter, and producer, particularly from morning or political shows.

The Movement for Change, founded by former New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart Alan Kyerematen, has been operating as a citizens’ movement since 2023, championing a “Great Transformational Plan” and advocating for a new style of leadership focused on national unity and economic renewal.

The upcoming announcement is expected to outline the Movement’s political direction, identity, and future electoral ambitions ahead of the 2028 general elections.

For further details or media confirmation, interested parties have been directed to contact Solomon Owusu, the Movement’s Director of Communications.
