NDC Youth Organiser proposes naming of roads under ‘Big Push project as 'Big Push' roads

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Youth Organiser for the Nkoranza South Constituency in the Bono East Region,Mr Ofosu Yaw Isaac, popularly known as Yaw White, has appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to consider naming road projects under the Big Push initiative as “Big Push Roads.”
In an interview with Apiah-Kubi on Fabea FM, Yaw White described the initiative as a bold and visionary project that should leave a lasting legacy rather than being treated as a passing development programme.
Citing examples of infrastructure named after their origins or benefactors, he argued that the Big Push deserves similar recognition.
“This is a novel vision from President Mahama and should not be whitewashed.
The Big Push project has the potential to be historic in Ghana’s infrastructural development,” he said.
Yaw White further emphasised that the $10 billion initiative would not only tackle Ghana’s infrastructure deficit but also create significant job opportunities for young people.
“I reiterate my suggestion that there should be a ‘Big Push Road’ in every region where the project is implemented,” he added.
He concluded that branding the roads in this way would highlight the scale of investment and help preserve the legacy of the project in Ghana’s development history.
