An Accra Lions U19 selection has departed for a three-week pre-season tour of Germany and Sweden as part of preparations for the upcoming Division One League campaign.

The tour, which began on July 9, will open in Germany with a visit to the club's partner, Eintracht Frankfurt.

According to Accra Lions, the partnership, established in April 2025, has centred on the exchange of expertise, with Eintracht Frankfurt regularly sending technical and medical specialists to Accra to support the development of the club's sporting and medical departments.

The current visit by the U19 squad and coaching staff will focus on competitive matches, performance testing and strengthening the relationship between the two clubs.

During their stay in Germany, the Accra Lions U19 team will play friendly matches against Eintracht Frankfurt's U19 and U21 sides.

After more than two weeks in Germany, the delegation will travel to Sweden, where it is scheduled to play additional friendly matches against IFK Norrköping and IK Sirius.

Accra Lions said the European tour forms part of its preparations for the new Division One League season and is intended to provide its young players with valuable international exposure and further support their development.

The club said it will provide supporters with regular updates and behind-the-scenes content throughout the tour.
