Antoine Semenyo matches Sergio Agüero record on Manchester City debut
Manchester City’s new signing Antoine Semenyo made an immediate impact in his first appearance for the club, matching a record previously set by Sergio Agüero.
The Ghana international became the first player since Agüero in August 2011 to both score and provide an assist on his Manchester City debut, ending a 14-year wait for such a performance.

Semenyo’s display underlined his quick adaptation to Pep Guardiola’s side and justified City’s decision to bring him in during the transfer window.
The achievement places Semenyo in elite company, with his debut contribution drawing comparisons to Agüero’s memorable introduction at the club, which marked the beginning of a historic spell for the former City striker.
The match between City and Exeter ended 10:1 against the latter.
