At the Meet The Press Series, Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, addressed various issues in the Sports Industry, including the completion of renovations for the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex and other youth training centers across the country.

The Minister revealed that plans are well underway to finalise the projects, which had faced criticism due to delays.

The Sports Ministry and the National Youth Authorities faced challenges in completing the initiatives that were initiated under former Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah. Funding constraints were cited as the primary reason behind the stalled progress.

Minister Ussif assured the public that the 10 resource centers established across the country, including Azumah Nelson Sports Complex, Yendi, Nyinahin, and Navrongo, are part of the ongoing second phase of the project.

The National Youth Authority, responsible for funding the initiatives, has assured the Minister that the contractors will resume work on these centers shortly.

Addressing the concerns of the citizens, Minister Ussif expressed his commitment to ensuring that all the projects are completed as planned. He emphasized that none of the centers would be left behind, assuring the whole country of their dedication to finishing the renovations.

With the support of the National Youth Authority, the Ministry expects to finalize the second phase of the project in the near future. The completion of these facilities is anticipated to enhance the country's sports infrastructure and provide better training and sporting opportunities for the youth.
