Black Damsels: Ghana hosts, wins 2025 CAF Africa Schools Football Championship
The national U-15 girls’ team has emerged the champion of the 2025 CAF Africa Schools Football Championship.
The action took place at the University of Ghana Stadium, Accra, where the Black Damsels, entering the finals as favourites, held dominated Uganda by 2:0.
The goals came from Christiana Ashiaku and Danielle Abass.
The game was witnessed by President John D. Mahama and CAF President Patrice Motsepe, among other dignitaries.
As winners of the four-day tournament, the Black Damsels’ prize was US$300,000, with the runner-up Uganda receiving US$200,000. Former champions South Africa, after beating Morocco 2:1, bagged a bronze, and US$150,000.
