GFA-GES Football4Girls programme engages 3 districts in Upper West region in Dec
Another edition of the Football4Girls grassroots football programme is set to hit three districts in the Upper West Region.
The programme seeks to improve girls’ participation in football, scouting for promising talents between six and 12, while correcting females-in-sports misconceptions.
Football4Girls is organised by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service (GES), and will run from Monday, December 8, to Friday, December 12, 2025, engaging Wa, Tumu-Sissala East, and Nadowli-Kaleo.
GFA’s Women’s Football Development Manager Jennifer Amankwaa Sarpong will lead sessions on the GFA Women’s Football Strategy, with a special focus on its implementation and the development opportunities available for young talented female footballers.
Apart from competitive fun games among schools in the Upper West Region, there will be educational sessions targeting pupils, teachers, parents and community members to strengthen community support for girls' football development.
