PAAG embarks on nationwide talent identification programme
The Para Athletics Association of Ghana(PAAG), in partnership with the National Paralympic Committee of Ghana (NPC-Ghana), is set to launch a Nationwide Talent Identification Programme aimed at discovering and developing promising para-athletes across the country.
This important initiative will focus on a variety of track and field events, including shot put, discus, javelin, high jump, long jump, and wheelchair racing.
Individuals with visual impairments, limb amputations, cerebral palsy, and other eligible conditions who are passionate about para-sports are highly encouraged to participate.
Zone 1 Schedule:
Ashanti Region (Kumasi) – 12th July (Program Launch)
Central Region (Cape Coast) – 26th July
Western Region (Takoradi) – 2nd August
Zone 2 Schedule:
Eastern Region (Koforidua) – 16th August
Volta Region (Ho) – 30th August
Greater Accra Region (Accra) – 13th September
This programme is a unique opportunity for aspiring para-athletes to showcase their talent and potentially represent Ghana on the national and international stage
