Tokyo Olympics: Bawumia wishes Ghanaian athletes well
Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has sent best wishes to Ghanaian athletes representing the country at the ongoing Tokyo Olympic Games.
He urged the participants the whole country s.upports them and thus, they should make Ghana proud
“As the Olympic Games start in Tokyo today, I extend my best wishes to the Ghanaian athletes representing our country at the tournament.
“Ghana is solidly behind you, make us proud,” he posted on Facebook today.
The Olympic Games began in Tokyo, Japan today Friday, 23 July 2021.
Ghana has 14 representatives participating in various games.
At the opening ceremony earlier today, the 14 Ghanaian athletes were clad in white sewn with colourful kente patterns.
The team was led by 28-year-old triple jumper, Nadia Eke who hoisted the Ghana flag and ushered them in.
The games will officially end on 8 August 2021.
