NPA reaffirms commitment to energy safety and sustainability
The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has reaffirmed its commitment to energy safety, environmental protection, and sustainable national development at the Nkɔkɔ Nkititi Chicken Festival, where it participated as the official energy and fuel safety partner.
The two-day festival, held under the auspices of the Office of the President and the Minister of State for Special Initiatives, brought together key stakeholders to promote poultry production, agro-industrial development, and community empowerment as vital drivers of economic growth.
Delivering a goodwill message on behalf of the Authority, Ing. Johnson Gbagbo Jnr., Supervisor for Gas at the NPA, highlighted the importance of safe, efficient, and sustainable energy use in strengthening Ghana’s agricultural and poultry value chains.
He explained that the adoption of appropriate energy solutions would not only boost productivity but also help reduce deforestation and support Ghana’s climate action objectives.
Ing. Gbagbo further noted that the NPA remains dedicated to ensuring that energy utilisation within the agricultural sector aligns with the country’s broader energy transition agenda, while safeguarding communities and the environment.
