BET: Black Sherif receives 3rd nomination

Sherif who burst onto the mainstream in 2021 with First Sermon first received a BET nomination in 2022 for Best International Flow. He lost the accolade to Gabonese French rapper Benjamin Epps. The bounced back and won clinched the honour in 2023.
For the 2025 BET Awards, the rapper and singer-songwriter is competing against Any Gabrielly (Brazil), Mc Luanna (Brazil), Ayra Starr (Nigeria), Rema (Nigeria), Bashy (United Kingdom), Ezra Collective (United Kingdom), Joé Dwét Filé (France), SDM (France), Tyla (South Africa) and Uncle Waffles (Swaziland) for the Best International Act Award.
The nomination comes after Black Sherif’s critically acclaimed and commercially successful 15-track second album, Iron Boy. Meanwhile, the artiste nicknamed Kwaku Rasta is competing for the ultimate honour, Artiste of the Year, at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
