Diaspora: 66-year-old captured performing Stormzy lines while celebrating birthday at rapper's concert
The UNILAD Sound page on Facebook has shown a video of an elderly woman who attended a concert of Stormzy's and could not sit still out of excitement.
This is how Jill chose to celebrate her 66th birthday. In the viral video, she could be seen on her feet raving, and rapping some lines from Stormzy's Audacity hit featuring his Ghanaian brother and fellow UK rap star Headie One, born Irving Ampofo Adjei.
Later, after the concert, the Ghanaian-British rapper and his elderly fan were introduced. Stormzy, 30, wished her a happy birthday, adding a hug as a cherry on top.
As they hugged, Jill exclaimed: "I cannot believe I've met you."
When she prayed, "God bless you," Stormzy, born Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr, responded in equal measure.
The heart-warming moment underlines the power of music to unite individuals of different generations and cultures.
